On August 30^th, the Mason Enterprise Center-Fairfax held a Lunch and Learn titled, “How to Mitigate Risks,” presented by Visionary Consulting Partners, LLC President & CEO, Eleanor Thornton, and also featured Gregory Malveaux, PhD., English professor at Montgomery College. The seminar focused on educating the attending small businesses about engaging in contract work abroad and the risks therein. Their combined expertise in International Development and Risk Management covered the process of selecting an international team, understanding waivers and liabilities, being aware of international codes of conduct, choosing a travel agency, preparing for the unexpected, and much more.
