On the occasion of Black History Month – February 2022, the Mason Enterprise Centre (MEC), Fairfax spoke to some of the prominent business and community leaders representing the African American community in the Northern Virginia area.
Fittingly, Visionary Consulting Partners (Visionary), LLC – an SBA Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), CVE-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Small, Women and Minority-Owned (SWaM) Business, headquartered in Fairfax City, VA – was one of the businesses that the MEC chose to profile.
Visionary offers management consultancy services across almost all aspects of the healthcare delivery services continuum, and focuses on supporting healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and public health agencies design, implement, manage, and assess healthcare delivery services and programs for underserved populations – particularly women, children and veterans.
From its humble origins in April 2008, as a sole proprietorship founded by Eleanor Thornton – an air force veteran specializing in Healthcare Delivery, who had long felt the need to inject a greater degree of care and compassion into the process of building a holistic healthcare delivery system – Visionary has certainly come a long way.
Watch this video featuring Michael D. Thornton Sr., COO of Visionary, as he recounts first-hand, the inspirational story of a rapidly evolving organization operating at the cutting edge of Healthcare Information Technology and Health Informatics, consistently being awarded prestigious contracts from private providers and public health agencies alike, and intent on climbing up its customers’ value chain, to cement itself as their valued partner and advisor.
