Visionary is proud to help sponsor The Brown Hill Baptist Church, the oldest African American Church in Bleckley County, Cochran, Georgia. Started back in 1795, Brown Hill Baptist Church was built on land sold to them by Sarah Combs and was the center for all the activities for the African American population in Bleckley County for over 221 years. Today, Brown Hill Baptist Church still provides spiritual services for its multi-generational congregation from the local rural area, and four other churches grew out of the original Brown Hill Baptist Church, including St. Paul Baptist Church, Christian Hope Baptist Church, Eastern Hills Baptist Church & Danville Baptist Church.

The current Brown Hill building in Cochran was built in 1980. This past year, Visionary was proud to provide support during the church’s renovation period to help them expand, improve, and continue to serve the local population for generations to come.
