VISIONARY HOSTS POLEBERRY SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
On April 23rd, Visionary Consulting Partners hosted three (3) aspiring high school entrepreneurs from Ireland. The students were recipients of the highly regarded Poleberry Scholarship established by serial entrepreneur and Mason alum Martin Dunphy to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship for high school students from Waterford, Ireland. Eleanor Thornton, President and CEO, met with the Poleberry Scholars to discuss the virtues of entrepreneurship and emphasized how persistence and fortitude promotes successful entrepreneurial outcomes followed by a tour of the Fairfax-Mason Enterprise Center.
The three students were finalist in a competition of over 120 students assembled to solve entrepreneurial challenges. The winning team visits other sites in the DC area including a social media company, the Fairfax Economic Development Authority and a business delegation to the White House.
