DIRECTOR INDUCTED INTO DELTA OMEGA HONOR SOCIETY

Visionary is proud to announce that our Director of Programs and Operations-New Orleans & Gulf Coast, Claire Hayes Watson, PhD, MPH, has been inducted into Delta Omega Honor Society. Delta Omega was founded in 1924 at Johns Hopkins University within the School of Hygiene and Public Health, now known as the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Delta Omega acknowledges recent graduates and professionals in public health disciplines “who remain dedicated to the field while also advancing and protecting the health of all people”. Claire was inducted as an Alumni by the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centers School of Public Health’s Alpha Psi Chapter in New Orleans, Louisiana. After completing her doctoral studies in 2016, Claire pursued postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. While at UNC, she was active in several projects related to patient-provider communication and engagement and served as a Co-investigator on a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded study which examined the impact of a question prompt list and educational video on increasing patient-provider communication and self-management in teens with asthma.  Also serving as Visionary’s Research and Health Services Administrator, Claire maintains research and programming interests in  chronic disease management, patient-provider communication, provider engagement, and treatment adherence.
